About Mountain Air Ranch
Come join us at Colorado's family nudist resort,a member of the
American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR). MAR has been voted the friendliest resort twice, from among 200 clubs nationally.
We are located approximately 20 miles southwest of Denver, in the foothills abundant with clean mountain air, sunshine and wildlife. The hills and valleys create a serene setting that truly provides you with a "Rocky Mountain High." There's nothing that compares to enjoying it all in the nude.
Mountain Air Ranch has a long and proud history. Originally the the Colorado Sunshine Club, it was organized in January, 1934. It had previously been known as the Mile-High Health Club and meetings were held at the residence of John and Alice Garrison in Denver. The early history of the club appeared in Sunshine & Health, May 1943
In the early days, of course, life was not always easy for our local nudist pioneers. On February 19, 1935 the Denver Police raided the Garrison residence and arrested 20 people including a former pastor of the California Street Methodist Episcopal Church. Eventually the defendants were found guilty and fined $1 plus court costs.
When you visit us, you will find that nudists come from varied educational, vocational, and ethnic backgrounds. Our bodies are as varied as our backgrounds. It makes no difference what you look like - you'll be welcomed just for being you.
